KWP succession lead Isaac Verhoeven, working with KWP board members Eric and Simon, have created a strategy to renew our club’s leadership, provide a clear direction to our club, and guide our club’s development of a stabilizing and self-maintaining structure. To achieve this, we need club members to participate in a survey and two subsequent general membership meetings.
The survey will be circulated early in January to current KWP members. The survey results will be shared with the membership prior to a general membership meeting on January 27th, when the results will be discussed and validated, setting the club’s priorities and goals. After the meeting, the succession planning team will design a club governance model to achieve our goals, and recruit nominees for the club’s board, all to be voted on at a second general membership meeting, to occur in late February 2018. The new board will then develop a plan based on the recommended structure and priorities, for managing the club through the following paddling season, and subsequent years
After the meeting, Beth and Tom are hosting a KWP Pizza Party, in their home beside the church. If you have any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
